Heavy metal levels in Al-Jaber coffee compared to global standards

As part of Al Jaber Products’ commitment to providing high-quality and safe products for consumers, we recently conducted an accredited test using ICP-OES technology on a sample of our Al Jaber coffee. The laboratory report shows the following results (in parts per million = ppm):Lead (Pb): 0.451Arsenic (As): 0.06Cadmium (Cd): 0.04Copper (Cu): 2.85Iron (Fe): 28.6Below is an analysis of these results compared with the standards of the World Health Organization and European regulations, followed by a conclusion regarding the safety and quality of the product.Understanding international heavy metal safety standardsGlobal standards (World Health Organization / Expert Committee / Codex Alimentarius)• The World Health Organization and the Joint FAO/WHO Expert Committee on Food Additives (JECFA) stipulate that the presence of heavy metals in food should be kept “as low as reasonably achievable” without exceeding limits defined as harmful.• Scientific publications indicate that lead concentrations in general foods are sometimes specified approximately within a range of 0.01 to 0.1 mg/kg (i.e., 0.01 to 0.1 ppm) for certain sensitive groups, although these values vary depending on the type of food and the country.
